1995
The inception of the School was in the year 1995, when Porur was a suburb. The school was started with classes LKG to V and it was named "Gitanjali". The building was inaugurated by Shri. Cho. Ramaswamy and Father Lawrence Sundaram of Loyola College
1999
“Pushpanjali” was constructed opposite to the “Gitanjali” building and inaugurated by Hon. Justice M. Karpaga Vinayagam. Our Correspondent Smt.Brinda Venkataramanan (Co-Founder and The Founder's daughter) carried out her father's dream of constructing a building that allowed classes up to XII with excellent lab facilities and her quest for perfection has resulted in Swamy's School maintaining a high standard in all aspects till date. The building has always been lauded for its appearance, infrastructure, and cleanliness
2001
The First Batch of Matric Class-X students. In 2000-01, The first batch of Class X students achieved a significant milestone, bringing pride to the school. This accomplishment served as an inspiration and benchmark for future students.
2002
Student Minoo Priyanka, a student from Swamy's School, represented Tamilnadu in an interactive session with the President of India Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, during the Children’s Day celebration in New Delhi.
2003
The first batch of class XII students appeared for the Board exam at the State level. The school has produced State III rank from the 2nd batch of students, District I with the 6th batch of students and State III once again with the 11th batch of students
2004
Swami Bodhamayananda of Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama inaugurated the Padmanabha Seminar Hall, another jewel in the crown of our school at Pushpanjali block. He also gave a seminar on “Personality Development”. In the same year, Student G.Parthasarathy secured the state 3rd rank in the Class-XII Matriculation Examination. He received a cash award from Chief Guest Shri N.C.Sridharan, Lawyer Consultant and Educationist.
2005
As a mark of completion of the decennial year of the school, “Shanmukhapriya” the cultural wing was inaugurated by Shri.R.Krishnaswamy, Secretary Narada Gana Sabha, President Federation of Sabhas on 12th October 2005. Cultural programmes in the form of dance, drama, and music were presented to create cultural awareness among students. Also, 21 of our school students were selected to participate and present patriotic songs in the Independence Day programme conducted by the Government at the Thiruvallur Collectorate.
2007
Student K Kousika secured District 1st position and was honoured by Smt.N.Latha, the C.E.O of Thiruvallur District
2010
A Laudable Achievement – N.S.Vinodh Kumar, a student from our school, received the first rank and University Gold Medal in the Degree of Bachelor of Engineering from Hon'ble Governor Shri. Surjit Singh Barnala at the convocation function held at Anna University. Also, R Deepak Prem, a student of Class XI, won the second prize for the Jawaharlal Nehru State Level Science exhibition project under the topic ‘Science & Technology in Games & Sports’.
2011
The school was further expanded and this saw the birth of the Brindaven campus in 2011. "Brindaven" was inaugurated by the Solicitor General of India Shri. Mohan Parasaran and Col.Dr. G. Thiruvasagam, Vice Chancellor, University of Madras. Brindaven campus has an indoor badminton court, an excellent auditorium with audio-visual facilities
2012
Student Pooja S Kumar secured State Third Rank and received the certificate from the Honourable Chief Minister Selvi J Jayalalitha. Pooja brought laurels to our school through her dedication and hard work. She secured a centum in Economics, Commerce, Accountancy, and Business Maths.
2018
Inauguration of Kalanjali Campus. The Kalanjali Campus is dedicated exclusively to our youngest learners from Pre-KG to UKG. The campus stands as a testament to our commitment to providing a nurturing environment for the formative years of our little ones. The infrastructure is tailored to meet the unique needs of our young learners, providing a secure environment that encourages curiosity and creativity.
2022
Extension of Pushpanjali Campus. The extension of the Pushpanjali campus for senior secondary students represents a significant milestone in the institution's journey towards academic excellence. It includes the Silver Jubilee Hall which stands as a testament to our dedication to providing top-tier infrastructure and opportunities for student growth and development.
2022
Inauguration of Library at Pushpanjali Campus by Smt.Lakshmi Mandhata, Coordinator of Integrated Schools, Sampradaya Patasala, Sri Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam - With a comfortable seating arrangement the library is stocked with an extensive collection of books, equipped with modern gadgets and a projector, providing a rich and diverse academic environment. The Library aims to be a hub for intellectual exploration.
2022
The first batch of CBSE Class-X students had remarkable success with exceptional performance, leading to 100% pass results in the CBSE Board Examinations.
2023
Inauguration of Silver Jubilee Hall by Shri.G.Balasubramanian, Former Director (Academics), CBSE. The SJH is a stunning and state-of-the-art space that will be used for a range of events, such as concerts, assemblies, workshops, and educational activities
2024
The First group of CBSE class 12 students is ready to face upcoming challenges with confidence and poise.
